100% correct. In time our probes will become so advanced as to be sentient, and able to reproduce. They, not us, will inherit space and if we stay on friendly terms with them will tell us of their adventures.

We are bound to planet earth by every aspect of our biology.

Lets hope we last long enough and have the generosity of spirit to create and free our robot friends.
