Europe will never be a military power since its made up of multiple countries and they don't really agree with each other.

They only spend 2% (if that) since ultimately if the balloon goes up these forces will be under American command at the top.

Agree that the mess is because NATO had to find a role so that all those people with cushy jobs could keep them, this involved poking the bear and thus aiding Putin, risking WWIII so they could keep those jobs.

Its a worrying situation, as we have seen from Iraq and Afghanistan the West's foreign policy blob is completely delusional.
