Its not colonialism, its theatre.

The US went to Afghanistan to kill Osama bin Laden.

But he escaped.

This would make for a very short play.

So they invented reasons to stay.

And invaded Iraq too.

Now Afghanistan is getting stale:

'End Forever Wars!'

So they are leaving, the next act of the play, to get some Trumpish voters to vote for Biden.

I once went out to my shed to get a screwdriver.

It was a dark and damp night and I trod on a snail.

Crunch.

It wasn't the snail's fault.
