Landfill is probably better than plastic 'recycling'.

The complex processing and lengthy transportation of the 'recycling' system give more opportunities for plastic to escape into the oceans or land surface.

If the plastic is buried and covered over then the land can be reclaimed.

If a country hasn't got enough space for their plastic landfill then they know they have a problem.

I appreciate that this is unaesthetic but insistence on 'recycling' just gives the politicians an opportunity to set up these fake systems.

They are more interested in garnering your vote than solving the problem.
